First and foremost, my practice focuses on the needs of my clients.  To me, that means communication and result-oriented advocacy.  Lawyers have a reputation for communicating in a seemingly verbose, overly complex manner.  I will make sure you understand each step of your representation.  Furthermore, you, as the client, know your business and the direction you want to go; it is my job to help you navigate the legal waters and help you achieve your goal.

Secondly, I strive to operate with the utmost efficiency.  I run a paperless office, to the extent a paper-heavy profession can run and use computer automation for management of many clerical duties.  These practices allow me to spend more time addressing clients' needs directly rather than on extraneous supporting matters, thereby reducing costs.

Lastly, I pride myself on attention to detail.  The legal profession is one of details.  As the saying goes, there is more than one way to skin a cat.  This certainly holds true with respect to legal matters.  What practices or procedures are best for you?  That depends on your particular circumstances and goals.  I focus on the unique features of your case to find the best way forward.

No one is immune to human contact and art is not made in a vacuum.

Joseph Yurgil is a bit of a nomad.  Originally from northern Illinois, he lived in England and Japan before joining the Marine Corps, which bounced him around the globe and dropped him off in Southern California.  Along the way he fell in love with a New Orleans girl and soon thereafter, New Orleans itself.  Unable to stay away from the infectious mix of Creole food, New Orleans music, and Southern hospitality, Joseph moved to New Orleans and looks forward to putting down roots in the beautiful Crescent City.

Joseph earned a bachelor of science in Aviation Science from the Saint Louis University.  While there, he took a course in Aviation Law that sparked his interest in the field.  Before going to law school though, Joseph was commissioned as an officer in the Marine Corps, where he served in aviation support and control.  After receiving an honorable discharge, he attended the University of San Diego School of Law.  During law school, Joseph cultivated a wide range of legal interests and ultimately determined his interests lie most strongly with arts and entertainment.
